Job Description A large, award-winning, state-of-the-art, top teaching hospital is seeking a skilled Medical Physicist to join their Radiation Department. This is a full time, permanent position. Here is more information: Location: Palm Springs, CA Schedule: Days Patient population: Adults and geriatric Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with radiation oncologists and dosimetrist to develop individualized radiation treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs. Perform routine and periodic quality assurance on radiation therapy equipment (e.g., linear accelerators, imaging systems) to ensure precise and accurate delivery of radiation. Ensure compliance with radiation safety standards, protocols, and regulations. Calculate, verify, and monitor radiation doses to ensure treatments are delivered with optimal accuracy while minimizing harm to surrounding healthy tissue. Stay abreast of the latest advances in radiation therapy technologies, including emerging treatment modalities, and contribute to research initiatives to improve patient outcomes. Work closely with clinical staff and multidisciplinary teams to ensure that the treatment plans are executed safely and effectively.
