Lifekind Health is looking for an experienced Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our team per diem. Deliver evidence-based psychological and behavioral health services to patients receiving care in a transdisciplinary pain management setting. This role collaborates closely with medical providers, physical reconditioning staff, and care coordination teams to support functional restoration, treatment adherence, and improved quality of life for patients with complex chronic pain conditions. Deliver a combination of group therapy, individual therapy, and behavioral health intakes, depending on clinic needs and scheduling.Our mission is to bring care that's whole, human, and healing. Learn more about us at .About the position: Clinical CareConduct comprehensive behavioral health assessments and intakes for patients with pain-related conditionsProvide individual psychotherapy using evidence-based modalities (e.g., CBT, ACT, MI, trauma-informed approaches) tailored to chronic pain populationsFacilitate structured group therapy sessions focused on pain coping skills, functional restoration, emotional regulation, and health behavior changeDevelop and document individualized treatment plans aligned with the patient's overall medical and physical reconditioning goalsMonitor patient progress and adjust interventions based on clinical outcomes and interdisciplinary feedbackTransdisciplinary CollaborationParticipate in coordinated care workflows alongside medical providers, physical reconditioning clinicians, and clinic operations staffCommunicate behavioral health findings and recommendations clearly to the care team to support integrated treatment planningContribute to case discussions, handoffs, and unit-based coordination as scheduledDocumentation & ComplianceComplete timely, accurate, and compliant clinical documentation in the electronic health recordMaintain adherence to professional, ethical, legal, and regulatory standards (state licensure, HIPAA, payer requirements)Support quality assurance and utilization management processes when applicablePatient ExperienceDeliver compassionate, patient-centered care that reflects the organization's mission and valuesSupport patient engagement, adherence, and understanding of treatment recommendationsCapacity to manage emotionally complex clinical situations with professionalism and empathyOur Ideal Candidate will have the following qualifications: Master's or Doctoral degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, ora related behavioral health field requiredActive, unrestricted CA license (e.g., PsyD/PhD, LCSW, LMFT, LPCC, or equivalent)Experience providing psychotherapy to adult patientsExperience working with chronic pain, injury recovery, or complex medical populations preferredExperience conducting psychological evaluations for interventional pain procedures or surgical clearanceTraining in CBT, ACT, or other evidence-based pain-focused interventions preferredPrior experience in integrated or interdisciplinary healthcare settings preferredStrong clinical documentation and communication skillsAbility to work collaboratively within a fast-paced, team-based clinical environmentBilingual Spanish preferred but not requiredLifekind Health and Savas Software are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
