POSITION SUMMARY: The Sanitation Technician is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, hygienic facility by performing sanitation on production equipment, food contact surfaces, and facility areas. This role supports food safety and product quality by following Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOPs), the Master Sanitation Schedule (MSS), and all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) required in a beverage manufacturing environment. Compliance with FDA regulations, including 21 CFR 117, is essential. The Sanitation Technician takes a proactive approach to maintaining cleanliness and contributes to a safe and organized work environment. This position requires accurate reporting and documentation to demonstrate compliance with sanitation standards. Disassembly and reassembly of equipment may be required to properly complete assigned tasks. RESPONSIBILITIES: • Clean floors, drains, walls, ceilings, production rooms, storage, staging, and waste-disposal areas throughout the facility. • Remove waste, clean trash bins, and maintain sanitary conditions throughout the facility. • Clean and maintain all production equipment using appropriate cleaning agents and food-safe equipment. • Report spills, safety issues, equipment damage, or contamination risks; document chemical usage and inspection records. • Complete inspections to identify pre-shift and end of shift needs or deficiencies to ensure sanitation standards are met at the end of each workday. • Report sanitation concerns, equipment damage, or contamination risks to sanitation leadership. QUALIFICATIONS: • 1+ year of experience in sanitation, cleaning, or food/beverage manufacturing preferred; experience with cleaning chemicals and sanitation equipment preferred • High School Diploma required; Food safety or quality-related certification preferred • Ability to understand sanitation practices, safe handling of cleaning chemicals • Reliable, self-motivated, with strong time management skills; able to adapt to changing work priorities, work independently, or with others, and consistently demonstrate punctuality, initiative, and a strong work ethic. • Able to work in a manufacturing plant and office environments; may be hot, humid, and dusty • Beginner experience with Microsoft Office Suite. • Position requires working varying shifts and weekends at times to support project execution requirements. • Able to stand or sit for prolonged hours, lift 50 lbs. and climb stairs • Must reside in Palestine, TX area.
