Position Summary The Diagnostic Medical Sonography Adjunct Instructor provides part-time instruction in sonography courses to support the Allied Health programs. This position is responsible for delivering high-quality instruction in classroom, laboratory, and clinical settings while supporting student learning and success. More information about benefits can be found at:Duties and ResponsibilitiesInstruction• Deliver instruction in diagnostic medical sonography courses in classroom and laboratory settings• Facilitate student learning using effective teaching strategies and educational techniques• Evaluate student performance and provide timely feedback• Maintain accurate academic records and documentationClinical and Program Support• Supervise students in clinical settings as required• Travel to assigned clinical sites to support student learning• Provide student guidance and academic support• Apply current clinical knowledge and practices in instructionAdministrative Responsibilities• Comply with college policies, procedures, and academic standards• Participate in program-related activities as needed• Maintain required credentials and professional development Qualifications Minimum Qualifications• Associate degree required• Bachelor's degree in a health-related field preferred• Must hold one or more of the following credentials: RDMS (AB), R.T.(S) (ARRT), RVT, RVS, or R.T.(VS) (ARRT)• Documented experience in supervision, instruction, evaluation, and student guidance• Knowledge of educational theories and teaching techniques• Clinical experience as a registered sonographer• Ability to teach in classroom, laboratory, and clinical settings• Must pass background check, employment verification, reference checks, and drug screeningRequired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities• Knowledge of diagnostic medical sonography principles and practices• Ability to effectively teach and engage students in diverse learning environments• Strong communication and interpersonal skills• Ability to evaluate student performance and provide constructive feedback• Knowledge of educational theories and instructional techniques• Ability to supervise students in clinical settings• Organizational and record-keeping skillsErgonomic Requirements• Position may require standing, walking, and moving between classroom, lab, and clinical environments• Ability to travel to various clinical sites• Ability to perform tasks associated with instructional and clinical supervision dutiesApplicants should upload the following documents prior to submitting their application: (1) transcripts from all colleges attended; (2) a curriculum vitae that includes the institutions where you have worked and the courses you have taught; (3) a syllabus from a relevant course recently taught; (4) a sample exam from a relevant course recently taught; (5) two letters of recommendation; and (6) a letter to the search committee describing your teaching experience.Part-Time
