Peer Support Specialist (Transportation & Client Engagement)Location: Paducah, KY and surrounding local areaOrganization: Lumera HealthcareLumera Healthcare is seeking a compassionate and reliable Peer Support Specialist to support clients in accessing behavioral health services and maintaining engagement in care. This role involves providing peer-based support, assisting clients with transportation to and from scheduled programming, and helping foster a welcoming and supportive treatment environment.The Peer Support Specialist will work closely with the clinical team to encourage participation in services and promote recovery-oriented care.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide peer-based support and encouragement to individuals engaged in behavioral health treatmentAssist with transportation of clients to and from scheduled groups or appointments within the local service areaHelp facilitate psychoeducational groups under the direction of clinical staffSupport client engagement and participation in treatment programmingAssist in maintaining a safe, respectful, and supportive environment for clientsCollaborate with the care team to support client needs and promote recovery goalsPerform other supportive duties that contribute to the overall client care experienceQualificationsCertified Peer Support Specialist preferredCertified Alcohol and Drug Counselor Associate (CADCA I or II) preferredLived experience with recovery and the ability to support others in their recovery journeyValid driver's license requiredAbility to maintain appropriate professional boundaries and confidentialityStrong interpersonal and communication skillsAbility to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary teamAdditional InformationLocal travel required within the Paducah, KY service areaSome evenings and Saturdays requiredPosition involves regular interaction with clients participating in behavioral health programmingLumera Healthcare is committed to fostering a compassionate, recovery-focused environment for both clients and staff.
