An exciting opportunity is available for two Staff Pharmacists to support inpatient services at a prominent medical center in Ventura County. This full-time, contract position offers a dynamic work environment with schedules primarily consisting of four 10-hour shifts per week, including variable shifts such as swing shifts, occasional weekends, and some holidays. The contract duration is approximately 3 to 6 months with potential for temp-to-hire consideration. Responsibilities: Accurately dispensing medications to inpatient populations while ensuring compliance with hospital policies and safety protocols Collaborating closely with healthcare teams to optimize patient medication therapy Managing medication orders, resolving discrepancies, and ensuring timely delivery of pharmaceutical services Utilizing pharmacy software for documentation and order processing; training on Cerner system will be provided if needed Participating in inventory control, medication reconciliation, and clinical pharmacy services as required Qualifications: Current California Pharmacist license is mandatory Experience with Cerner pharmacy software preferred, but training available for qualified candidates Strong clinical knowledge in inpatient pharmacy operations Ability to work flexible shifts, including swing shifts, weekends, and holidays Excellent communication and organizational skills to thrive in a fast-paced inpatient setting Location: Ventura County, California This contract role offers a chance to contribute your expertise in a collaborative hospital environment with a varied schedule that supports work-life balance.
