HR Generalist

Job Description Title: HR Generalist Location: Owatonna, MN Job Type: Permanent/Direct Hire Compensation: $65,000-80,000 Industry: Manufacturing --- About the Role We are partnering with a leading manufacturer known for its innovative production capabilities and strong commitment to employee development. We are seeking an experienced HR Generalist to support day-to-day HR operations and play a key role in advancing people-focused initiatives at the site. In this role, you will be a primary resource for employees and leaders-providing guidance on employee relations, supporting training and development, improving HR processes, and ensuring a positive, compliant workplace experience. Job Description You will play a visible and influential role on the site floor, building relationships with employees at all levels and serving as a trusted resource for day-to-day needs. This includes supporting leaders with real-time problem solving, helping cultivate a positive and inclusive work environment, and driving engagement initiatives that strengthen communication, morale, and overall employee experience. Provide proactive HR support to employees and managers across the site. Offer guidance on employee relations, coaching, development, and performance matters. Support recruitment efforts and participate in talent-related decision making. Partner with HR team members to communicate and implement HR strategies. Assist with employee onboarding and training, including developing and delivering training programs. Maintain strong knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws to ensure compliance. Support compensation, benefits, and policy-related activities. Continuously assess and improve internal HR processes with a customer-focused mindset. Provide backup support to the HR Coordinator as needed. Qualifications Required Qualifications: 3+ years of Human Resources experience Demonstrated experience in employee relations Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Ability to work with sensitive and confidential information Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills Preferred Qualifications: PHR or HRCI certification Fluency in Spanish Experience supporting HR programs in a manufacturing or industrial environment Benefits Enjoy a competitive salary with bonus potential, a robust 401(k) program featuring a 5% company match that's fully yours after just two years, and a generous 15% immediate return through our Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
