The company operates with a customer-focused, entrepreneurial culture and continues to invest in operational growth, supply chain improvements, and manufacturing excellence.OverviewOur client is seeking a Buyer / Purchasing Specialist to support procurement and supply chain operations within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This position will play a critical role in managing supplier relationships, supporting inventory and purchasing activities, and helping improve procurement processes across the organization.ResponsibilitiesManage purchasing activities across raw materials, MRO items, office supplies, and operational purchasing needsBuild and maintain strong supplier and vendor relationshipsNegotiate pricing, lead times, and supplier agreementsMonitor supplier performance and support continuous improvement initiativesMaintain ERP/MRP system data accuracy and purchasing recordsSupport inventory management and help ensure proper stock levels are maintainedAnalyze purchasing and supply chain data to support forecasting and operational planningPartner cross-functionally with operations, production, and leadership teamsAssist with RFQs, sourcing projects, and cost reduction initiativesHelp improve procurement processes and contribute to operational efficiency effortsQualifications2+ years of purchasing, procurement, or supply chain experience within manufacturingERP/MRP system experience required; Sage experience preferredStrong negotiation, communication, and supplier management skillsAnalytical mindset with strong Excel and data management capabilitiesAbility to work independently and manage multiple prioritiesExperience within industrial manufacturing, chemical manufacturing, or process manufacturing environments is a plusBachelor's degree preferred; equivalent experience will also be consideredCPIM or CSCP certification is a plus but not required
