Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Welder with ASME Code Section 9 experience to join our client's manufacturing team in Orchard Park, NY. This role is responsible for welding products from start to finish while ensuring compliance with fabrication drawings, quality standards, and safety requirements. The ideal candidate has strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.Essential Duties & Responsibilities Weld products from start to finish, including layout, fit-up, welding, and grinding, in accordance with fabrication drawings and NDE requirementsRead and interpret blueprints and fabrication drawingsUnderstand and accurately apply weld symbolsDemonstrate proper welding techniques and proceduresVerify heat numbers prior to product assemblyPerform MIG, TIG, and SAW welding in a production environmentOperate welding equipment, grinders, and plasma cuttersFollow all safety rules and regulations and encourage compliance among team membersMaintain departmental housekeeping and organization standardsCommunicate effectively with manufacturing and engineering teams Qualifications High School Diploma or GED requiredThree (3) to five (5) years of welding experience in a manufacturing setting requiredASME Code Section 9 welding experience requiredAbility to weld various metals, including carbon steel, stainless steel, and copper/nickel alloysProficient in reading blueprints and interpreting weld symbolsAbility to operate overhead cranesStrong verbal communication skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a team Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 poundsAbility to sit or stand for extended periodsAbility to work in a manufacturing environment
