Job Title: Security Guard Entity: Cooperstown All Star Village Reports To: Director of Security Pay Range: $17-$19/hr. Location: Oneonta, NY Anticipated Start Date: 5/30/26 About Property: Cooperstown All Star Village is a state-of-the-art sports complex located in Oneonta, NY. Cooperstown All Star Village specializes in youth baseball tournaments bringing teammates, coaches, and families together through our Big-League Experiences. Position Summary: The Security Guard is responsible for maintaining a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for campers, families, staff, and visitors. This position plays a critical role in monitoring the property, enforcing safety policies, managing access control, and responding promptly and professionally to incidents. The Security Guard serves as both a visible deterrent and a customer service resource, ensuring all guests feel safe and supported during their stay. Key Responsibilities: Patrol assigned areas of the property on foot or by vehicle to monitor activity and ensure safety. • Monitor entrances, exits, and access points to ensure only authorized individuals are on campus. • Enforce property rules, policies, and safety procedures in a professional and courteous manner. • Respond promptly to incidents, disturbances, medical situations, or emergencies and follow proper reporting protocols. • Investigate and document reports of suspicious activity, accidents, or rule violations. • Provide clear, accurate, and timely written incident reports. • Assist guests and staff with directions, questions, and general support while maintaining a strong customer service presence. • Communicate effectively with management and team members via radio and other communication systems. • Support crowd control and traffic management during events, peak arrival/departure times, and special activities. • Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications: Required: • High School Diploma or equivalent. • Strong interpersonal, customer service, and conflict resolution skills. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Ability to remain calm, professional, and decisive in high-pressure situations. • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make sound, independent decisions. • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Preferred: • Previous experience in private security, event security, or a related field. • Additional security, law enforcement, or safety training. Working Conditions / Special Physical Requirements: • Prolonged periods of standing, walking, and patrolling the property. • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. • May be exposed to extreme temperatures and varying weather conditions. • Must be able to respond quickly to emergencies and navigate all areas of the property. #twentry #CASV
