Facilities Custodian/Maintenance

US Weight is seeking a motivated individual to join our maintenance department as a Custodian. The Facilities Custodian/Maintenance position would perform assigned custodial tasks which include vacuuming, sweeping, mopping and using equipment such as floor scrubber and cardboard baler Light maintenance includes mold cleaning, equipment cleaning, light repairs, tracking spare parts inventory, etc. This is a day shift position. The hourly pay rate is $17.50 per hour with the opportunity to earn and additional $2 per hour with our attendance bonus program.Essential Duties/ResponsibilitiesClean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing or vacuumingGather and empty trashService, clean, and supply restroomsWipe down countertops, tables, chairs, microwaves, etc.Clean windows and glass partitionsAssist in baling cardboard dailyOperate floor scrubber daily in plantAssist with mold cleaning for Injection and blow moldsTrack spare parts inventoryQualifications & Requirements High school diplomaProven work experience as a janitorIntegrity and ability to work independently and within a team environmentKnowledge of cleaning chemicals and suppliesSome mechanical knowledge would be a plus but not requiredPhysical Demands Walking and standingLifting up to fifty poundsStooping, kneeling, climbing, etc.Working Conditions Non-Climate controlled production environmentRequired qualifications:Legally authorized to work in the United States18 years or olderPreferred qualifications:At least high school diploma or equivalent or higherAble to comfortably lift 50 lbsAvailable to work: weekdaysWilling to travel locally2+ years of experience in the cleaning & maintenance services industry
