Assistant Plant Manager

Lead a high-volume food manufacturing operation, with a focus on maximizing throughput, strengthening operational reliability, and building the next generation of plant leadership On-site position near Olean, NY - Western New York State $120-150K base + 15% bonus + great benefits Lead day-to-day plant execution across manufacturing, packaging, inventory, and distribution, along with key support functions including engineering, quality, and maintenance. This leader drives safety, quality, service, and cost performance while developing a high-performing team and strong cross-functional partnerships. Responsibilities Manage and coordinate plant operations within company policies and procedures that produce products meeting quality, cost, volume, and service objectives. Initiate plans and processes that minimize manufacturing costs through effective utilization of employees, equipment, facilities, materials, and capital. Assure attainment of business objectives and production schedules while ensuring product standards that exceed customer expectations. Foster an environment where safety and quality are high priorities. Work closely with functional departments to ensure coordination between sales, customer service, loading, shipping, purchasing, receiving, and finance. Maintain individual skills, keeping up to date with the latest production and technological changes in production management. Develop employees by establishing, managing, and maintaining a well-trained and motivated staff. Requirements Bachelor's degree in business or technical field, or commensurate experience. Master's or MBA preferred. 5+ years of managerial experience in a food manufacturing environment. SQF, USDA, HACCP preferred. Qualities High integrity. energetic, creative, and self-directed.
