Building Maintenance Specialist II- Full Time - Days

JOB TITLE: Building Maintenance Specialist II CLASSIFICATION: Full Time, Non-Exempt PROGRAM/DEPARTMENT: Maintenance IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: Assistant Director of Maintenance POSITION SUMMARY: Maintain multiple agency sites by directly performing a variety of maintenance duties. Accomplish building maintenance, repair and renovation objectives by applying skill and knowledge from trade(s) of expertise and certification. Repair and renovation objectives by receiving, understanding and following information/instruction from Assistant Director or designee; appropriately following blueprints, schematics, manuals, building codes and other identified specifications; monitoring status and providing information. Ensure upkeep and safe operation of equipment by performing routine maintenance checklists and communicating repairs, unmet needs and other concerns to supervisor; following and enforcing all approved safety and operating procedures. QUALIFICATIONS:Minimum Education, Training & Experience: High school diploma or equivalent 5 years' experience in specialized trade (Carpentry, Electrical, Plumbing) Certifications and licenses in specified trade Preferred Education, Training & Experience: 6 or more years' experience in specialized trade Experience in Electrical ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Valid Driver's License that meets agency standards Ability and willingness to participate in a 24/7 on-call system Ability to perform physical aspects of position Ability to operate and maintain tools and equipment required for specified trades Ability and willingness to pursue additional technical training and certification in other trade areas if needed Ability and willingness to respond to emergency needs after hours SALARY: $28-$32 per hour starting rate based on experience Full Job Description Available Upon Request Benefits - Intandem Contact us for more Information An equal opportunity employer.
