Trailer Technician

Company: Peak Thermo KingLocation: Odessa, TexasJob Title: Trailer TechnicianSummarProvide support for Trailer Shop functions with specific responsibility of fabrication and repair of trailers and equipment. Peak Thermo King is currently seeking a Truck/Trailer Mechanic that is motivated and experienced. We are a family-owned and operated business and take pride in treating our employees as family. Customer service and a great work environment are paramount at our dealerships.Essential Functions Clean work area upon arrival.Inspect and perform service and repair on electrical, air systems, and brake systems.Use hand tools, precision instruments and power tools to accomplish tasks.Examine and adjust protective guards, loose bolts, and specified safety devices.Raise trucks, buses, and heavy parts or equipment using hydraulic jacks or hoists.Attach test instruments to equipment, read dials and gauges to diagnose malfunctions.Inspect and verify dimensions and clearances of parts to ensure conformance to factory specification.Protect company's value by keeping information confidential.Comply with federal, state, and company policies, procedures and regulations.Requirements:2+ years truck/trailer mechanical repair experience.Possess standard mechanic's tools - as required to perform assigned duties.Great judgement and decision making abilitiesMust be computer proficient.Strong organizational ability, focus on the needs of the customer.Can-do attitude with ability to demonstrate good judgment and decision-making skills.Safety conscious attitude and work practices.Desire to learn and continuously improve self and surroundings.Clean driving record and ability to maintain clean drug screens.Benefits:Competitive hourly rate; DOEOpportunity for growth and developmentM-F schedule (some OT); paid holidaysPaid Time Off (PTO)Group Health, Dental, Vision401k Retirement Planning w/ company match PeakInd2Peak Industrial Company is made up of four different businesses that span across Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Utah, and Montana.
