Compensation Mount Sinai South Nassau provides a salary range in good faith determination of potential compensation to comply with the New York State law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. Status: Part Time 9.5 hr Shift: 10 HOUR DAY SHIFT Department: LAB-Phlebotomists Position Summary Summary: Under the direction of the Staffing Office Nurse Manager, the Phlebotomist obtains blood specimens and assists in other tasks as needed. Qualifications Responsibilities: Education Required • Must complete in-house orientation program • High School Diploma or Equivalent Experience And Skills • Excellent interpersonal skills • Speaks, reads and writes English • Completion of a phlebotomy course. • No previous experience required but must train at MSSN under supervisor, demonstrate technical competency and pass a written proficiency test prior to drawing without supervision. • Requires manual dexterity. • Possess good communication skills. License/Certifications Working Conditions Other information: Working Conditions • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) worn • Walking and standing for prolonged periods of time. • Exposure to biohazardous materials.
