Fire Protection Design Engineer

Engineer responsible for Fire Protection Design. Below job requirements/preferred requirements relate to job tasks required for this position.Minimum Job Requirements:* Five or more years of progressive and relevant experience in Fire Sprinkler System Design.* Experience implementing programs and procedures to ensure employee and facility safety is in accordance with all OSHA, NFPA and Life Safety Code requirements.* Ability to plan, self-perform tasks and multi-task on multiple projects.* The position requires the ability to present information clearly and effectively through the oral and written word and utilize automated workflow systems.* Must be able to coordinate verification and validation of documents with technical and operations personnel prior to release for approval and implementation.* Ability to develop and maintain historical information.* Ability to prepare, interpret, maintain, and incorporate requirements of technical drawings and operating documents.* Ability to follow procedures and work within a rigorous work process.Preferred Job Requirements:* A Professional Engineering License (PE).* Proficiency using hydraulic calculation software (HASS, etc).* DOE work experience.
