Position: Customer Service Representative - IntermodalPay Rate: 50k-60k per yearSchedule: Mon - Fri 6am - 3pmJob Description:The Customer Service Representative - Intermodal communicates with our customers and our operations team to facilitate the delivery of intermodal containers while demonstrating the highest degree of courtesy, integrity and professionalism. Core Duties & Responsibilities:Answer heavy incoming customer emails and phone calls Notify customers daily of available shipments and schedule for deliveryData entry of customer orders into our systemTrack and trace container shipments on rail websitesCheck incoming orders for correct rates and resolve rate discrepanciesMaintain updated information for each customer on SOP formCommunicate with operations team regarding daily scheduleNotify customers of any rail delays or late shipments Ability to constantly monitor incoming emails and respond in a timely mannerCompose emails in a clear and effective mannerCross-training on all customer accounts Regular and dependable attendanceOther duties as assignedRequirements:Demonstrated ability to carry out assignments to their completion and meet deadlinesAbility to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees and managersDesire for a long-term career with an industry leading companyAbility to present and maintain a positive corporate image in a fast paced environmentProactively establish and maintain effective working team relationships with all support departmentsMust be proficient with Microsoft Office products including; Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.Ability to perform general administrative duties; perform data entry, photocopies, etc.Ability to handle heavy work load and work well under pressureUnderstanding of industry terminology High school diploma or GED equivalentSkills:Ideal candidate will possess a “can do” attitude with a “will do” work ethicMust have the ability to work in a fast paced environmentStrong verbal and written communication skillsExperience with Profit Tool helpfulTransportation industry knowledge and experience is a plusComputer skills, including MS Office/Excel.Forward Air is an Equal Opportunity employer.#L1-TW1#L1-Onsite Forward Air is a leading asset-light provider of transportation services across the United States, Canada, and Latin America.
