Radiologic Technologist – Computed Tomography (CT) Location: Novi, MI 48374 Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: 5x8-Hour Nights Sunday–Thursday: 10:30 PM – 6:30 AM Friday & Saturday: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM Every other weekend rotation Hours per Week: 40 Hours Job Summary: Under general supervision, performs computerized tomography (CT) procedures on patients and may also perform general diagnostic radiology examinations. Performs related duties as required. Key Responsibilities: Explain procedures and prepare patients for CT examinations. Review clinical data and obtain relevant patient medical history. Set up equipment and perform CT scans using appropriate techniques. Administer IV contrast, including use of power injectors, and monitor patients for reactions. Assist Radiologist with complex sterile diagnostic procedures (e.g., biopsies). Follow radiation safety guidelines, including ALARA principles. Ensure accurate documentation in PACS and RIS systems. Maintain procedure rooms and adequate supplies. Complete all required clinical and billing documentation. Unit Details: ER, Inpatient, and Outpatient Level 2 Trauma Center Requirements: Minimum 2 years of CT experience required. Experience with Client and Philips equipment required. Hospital experience required. High School Diploma or GED required. Must maintain continuing education requirements. Certifications Required: BLS Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Advanced registry in Computed Tomography (ARRT-CT) or registry-eligible Work Environment: Hospital setting (fixed or mobile unit). Possible exposure to radiation, high-voltage equipment, and contagious patients. Occasional lifting of equipment or patients over 10 lbs.
