Job Title: Electromagnetic Design EngineerJob DescriptionThe Electrical Engineer will lead the electromagnetic design for projects involving high-speed permanent magnet alternators and motors. This role requires utilizing both in-house and commercial design software for calculations and Finite Element Analysis (FEA). The engineer will work closely with various design functions, coordinating the electromagnetic design with power electronics and regulators.Responsibilities Perform electromagnetic design analyses and calculations. Prepare and deliver analysis results to large audiences. Interpret and clarify customer technical expectations. Collaborate with the Engineering Team to achieve cost targets and establish cost objectives. Define and uphold technical compliance with customer requirements. Adhere to project schedules and meet deadlines. Coordinate technical design efforts with other resources, including Marketing, Manufacturing, Quality, Operations, and integrated product teams. Draft technical proposals and present technical details to customers. Generate comprehensive design and analysis reports. Act as the primary technical customer point of contact. Conduct thermal and structural analysis. Implement cost reductions and production product improvements. Provide factory support and resolve field issues. Engage in internal research and development. Coordinate and solve various technical projects as assigned. Essential Skills Proficiency in electromagnetic design and electrical engineering. Experience with electromagnetic analysis software, including Ansys and Motor-CAD. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with a focus on electromagnetic design. Experience with FEA and EMAG design analysis. Additional Skills & Qualifications Strong oral and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal and leadership skills. Ability to communicate with all levels of customer organizations. Demonstrated problem-solving abilities. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs. Project management skills.
