Job Type Full-time Description A well-established metal fabrication and machining company is seeking a skilled CNC Operator to join its production team. This role is ideal for an experienced professional with a strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality and safety. The CNC Operator will be responsible for setting up and operating computer numerically controlled (CNC) machines to produce precision metal components efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Primary Job Duties Set up CNC machines according to job specifications, including tool selection and fixture setup. Operate CNC machines to produce components while monitoring the production process for quality and efficiency. Make necessary adjustments to machine settings to ensure accuracy and quality. Read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints. Program CNC machines using CAM software or G-code programming. Debug and optimize CNC programs for efficiency and accuracy. Conduct frequent quality checks on machined parts to ensure they meet design specifications and quality standards. Manage inventory of raw materials and tooling required for CNC operations. Other duties as assigned. RequirementsHigh school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in CNC machining is a plus. Proven experience as a CNC Operator in a metal fabrication or machining environment. Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and blueprints. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work. Proficiency in CAM software or G-code programming. Basic computer skills for data entry and machine control. Strong commitment to safety and adherence to safety protocols. Physical Requirements Ability to lift and move materials up to 50 pounds. Stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks. Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
