OverviewThe Quality Assurance Performance Engineer plays a hybrid role, combining software development and testing expertise to ensure the performance, stability, and resiliency of enterprise applications. This individual designs and builds testing frameworks, tools, stubs, and mocks, while also developing and executing comprehensive performance and stress tests. The role involves analyzing results, performing root cause analysis, and delivering actionable recommendations to improve system reliability and scalability. Working across both traditional and modern architectures, patterns, and technology stacks, the engineer partners closely with development teams to support high-performing, robust applications and database systems.The Quality Assurance Performance Engineer will:Is responsible for developing and maintaining performance test scripts in a prioritized and standardized manner as identified by the Quality Assurance (QA) Manager, Director and Product Line DirectorCoordinates and organizes requested performance testing and verification of assigned products to ensure the delivery of top-level software products to external clientsParticipates in performance status calls with team members and managementSupports and understands the basic workflow of products assigned for performance testingPossesses good verbal and written communication skillsProvides weekly metrics to managementAdjusts timelines/requests based on resource project allocationsMonitors the verification of product's performance Other Duties: Maintains working relationships with all internal departmentsParticipates in presentations as Subject Matter Expert (SME) Conditions of Employment: (Authorized to work in the US without current or future be able to pass a Federal background checkMust be determined suitable for federal employment. Years of experience in a similar role: 1+ years' experience as a Performance Engineer2+ years as a QA Analyst Compensation:Salary at DSS Inc is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $80,000.00 to $100,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of DSS, Inc. total compensation package for employees.
