RESPONSIBILITIES:Kforce has a client that is seeking a Project Estimator 1 in Juno Beach, FL.Key Responsibilities:Prepare detailed project cost estimates, including conceptual, preliminary, and definitive estimates for new and existing projectsPerform conceptual engineering design and develop preliminary plans to support estimating scope quantificationCollaborate with engineering, procurement, and teams to gather and analyze project specifications, drawings, and other documentation to prepare accurate estimatesPerform value engineering analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality and project requirementsDevelop and maintain estimation tools, databases, and methodologies to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of cost estimating processesConduct risk assessments and develop contingency plans to account for potential project uncertaintiesPresent cost estimates and value engineering options to senior management, project stakeholders, and clientsCoordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing and ensure the best value for the companyTrack project costs and variances throughout the project lifecycle, updating estimates as necessary to reflect changes in scope, design, or market conditionsEnsure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements in all estimating activitiesREQUIREMENTS:Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Management, or a related fieldMinimum of 2 years of experience in project estimating, with a focus on conceptual engineering and project designExperience in utility-scale energy projects, including renewable energy, power generation, and transmission infrastructureProficiency in value engineering principles and practicesStrong understanding of methods, materials, and equipmentKnowledge of industry standards and best practices in project estimating and cost managementAdvanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly ExcelExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detailStrong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environmentPreferred Qualifications:Master's or Post-Graduate degree in Engineering, Management, Business or a related fieldMinimum of 3 years of experience in project estimating, with a focus on conceptual engineering and project designThe pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law.
