Education Requirements Bachelor's degree in Clinical or Medical Laboratory Science, or an equivalent allied health degree, with preparation for ASCP/AMT certification. Certification Essentials ASCP or AMT Board of Certification in Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS) must be attained within one year of employment.
