Full-time Preschool Vision Screener

Join Montgomery County Association for the Blind, a nonprofit agency serving individuals who are blind or visually impaired, as a Preschool Vision Screener and help detect undiagnosed vision loss in children by providing important vital vision screenings and education. This full-time role is rooted in community outreach and eye health, using tools to identify potential issues before they impact development. The ideal candidate will have experience in health, education, social work, family studies or related fields and who enjoys working with children and adults. Position does require learning short education programs that are provided to children about eye health. Must be comfortable with public speaking. Must be comfortable with different types of environments where there could be long periods of standing, sitting, squatting, sitting on the floor, etc. while screening children. HS Diploma or GED is required. Valid PA driver's license & ability to be insured to drive agency vehicles. Ability to pass background clearances & certifications upon hire. Knowledge of Montgomery County is preferred. This is a 35 hr. per week position working during the business hour of Monday through Thursday 7:00 am to 4:30 pm at a payrate of $17.00 per hour.
