Summary: This position is in the department of Food and Animal Sciences. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: * Perform or assist with routine data verification and quality control, ensuring data integrity and consistency with prescribed study protocol. * Perform and/or assist with routine data analysis and interpretation, as specifically assigned; may utilize specialized analytical equipment and/or instrumentation, or specified statistical data analysis programs and software. * Assist in the setup, operation, and maintenance of research equipment, instrumentation, and/or facilities, as specifically instructed. * Follow established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives, continuous quality improvement objectives, and safety, environmental, and/or infection control standards. * May lead, train, guide, and/or allocate work to student employees, research assistants, and/or other research support personnel on specific aspects of research procedure, as appropriate to the role. * Performs other duties as assigned. Minimum Position Requirements (including years of experience, certifications, licenses, etc.): * PhD degree in Food Science with an emphasis in Food/Nutritional Biochemistry Lab experience Other Requirements Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: * Knowledge of related accreditation and certification requirements * Skill in the use of computerized systems and databases * Ability to maintain quality, safety, and/or infection control standards * Ability to understand and follow research protocol and procedures * Ability to understand and follow basic scientific research protocol and procedure * Ability to understand and follow complex, detailed technical instructions * Ability to analyze and interpret scientific data
