If you've recently graduated law school, have excellent fact-finding and communication skills, and are ready to jump-start your career in the legal industry, we want to hear from you!Compensation:$80,000 - $120,000 yearly yearlyTake the next step in your career now, scroll down to read the full role description and make your application.Responsibilities:Organize and maintain files to ensure accuracy for other attorneys, paralegals, and staff Prepare correspondence and legal documents such as contracts, pleadings, briefs, affidavits, motions, and settlement agreements for contract negotiations and proceedingsConduct legal research, prepare for and attend hearings and/or other legal proceedings, and provide legal counsel with the help of senior associate attorneysResolve cases efficiently by using communicating effectively with and working alongside senior attorneys and paralegalsReview client issues on legal matters, analyze available options, and diligently work to determine the best course of actionThe attorney hired for this role will work directly with clients and handle matters including:Meeting with clients to design estate plansDrafting wills, revocable trusts, powers of attorney, and healthcare directivesDrafting probate pleadings and filingsManaging probate administrations from start to finishCommunicating with personal representatives, beneficiaries, and the courtMaintaining organized files and moving matters forward without constant supervisionAs the practice grows, there may also be opportunities to assist with contested or litigated probate matters.Initially, this position will be self-supported without a dedicated paralegal or legal assistant, so strong organization and independence are important.Qualifications:Effective communication skills and problem-solving skills are necessary to work with all levels of staff and clientsSuccessful completion of the bar examCompletion of a Juris Doctor (J.D. degree) from an accredited law schoolMember in good standing and actively involved with the ABA (American Bar Association)Willingness to learn from senior attorneys to meet our client needs and grow our client base2-5 years of legal experience requiredFlorida Bar license in good standingPrior experience with estate planning or probate mattersStrong drafting and client communication skillsAbility to manage files independentlyAbout CompanyCole Law Firm is an estate planning and probate practice serving families throughout Northwest Florida.
