Works closely with commercial team in direct support of marketing strategy.Core Responsibilities:Effectively manages and assists others with the overall supply chain for refined and/or renewable productsSeamlessly resolves product supply issues as a result of planned or unplanned eventsLeads development on solutions to complex problemsInventory management in the process of scheduling, and oversees inventory targets for the teamEnsures solutions are consistent with organization's objectivesInterfaces with industry counterparts and 3 rd party carriers to negotiate and coordinate deliveries of required inventoryAuthorizes the transfer of products with 3 rd partiesCollaborates with trading to ensure adequate purchases/sales of product to meet supply needsEvaluates alternative logistics modes or routes for bulk movements for more efficient supply chainOptimizes the product supply chain to reduce logistics costsEnsures that all scheduling processes take place in a correct and timely mannerResponsible for analyzing the demand and supply balanceMonitors and provides analyses of finished product inventoryRequirements:Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The requirements for this position are listed below:Bachelor's degree in logistics/business or related field or equivalent work experienceMinimum 2-5 years' experienceDemonstrated ability to work and negotiate in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and be on call 24/7Excellent interpersonal/communication skills (both written and verbal), computer skills, and analytical skillsThrives in cross-functional team environmentStrong troubleshooting, problem solving, and decision-making skillsPipeline scheduling experience preferredDesired/Preferred Skills: Exposure to one or more energy markets (crude oil and/or petroleum products)Understanding of the interaction and significance of the various aspects/elements of the refined products trading/marketing supply chain is desirableAbility to apply a well-developed understanding of business strategies and logistics operations to achieve the business and team objectivesUnderstanding of SAP, RightAngle and/or Transport 4 systemsRequired experience is commensurate with the selected job level:The Specialist/Analyst level requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and 2-5 years of relevant job related experienceThe Senior Specialist/Analyst level requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and 5-8 years of relevant job related experienceThe Lead Specialist/Analyst level requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and 8+ years of relevant job related experience
