Job DescriptionTarget PR Range: 22-32/hr DOEJob Details:Mass spectrometry scientist and analytical protein chemist with a consistent track record in biopharmaceutical protein support, scientific eminence and leadership and mentoring skills.In this vital role you will be part of the BEAM group providing scientific and technical expertise to support early discovery research through to later stage molecule optimization and late-stage selection pipeline of drug candidates. This position is an exciting opportunity to unlock the potential of biology for patients suffering from serious illnesses by discovering, developing, manufacturing, and delivering innovative human therapeutics.Experience using analytical characterization techniques such as RPLC-MS for intact protein, reduced and subunit protein mass analysis. Experience using high-throughput MS like Rapidfire-MS is a plus.Experience with protein digestion and RPLC-MS/MS to map and characterize post translational modifications such as deamidation, isomerization and oxidation and associated data processing would be a plus.Experience generating, processing and using large LC-MS analytical data setsExperience with both ESI and MALDI techniques would be usefulCommunicate (verbal and in written) scientific concepts and resultsWork independently in advancing projects and studies within required deadlinesFollow protocols and procedures, maintain accurate records in an electronic lab notebookBasic Qualifications:Masters degree and 2 years of biopharmaceutical Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry or equivalentOrBachelors degree and 4 years of biopharmaceutical Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry or equivalentPreferred QualificationsMasters degree and 2 years of biopharmaceutical Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry or equivalentKnowledge of multiple mass spectrometric (MassHunter, XCalibur, MassLynx) chromatographic (ChemStation, Chromeleon) control software is preferred.
