Located in Newark, NJ, this role requires an experienced Interventional Radiologic Technologist with strong expertise in assisting during complex diagnostic and interventional vascular and neuro-interventional procedures. This contract position involves working closely alongside specialty proceduralists, providing hands-on support during intricate cases to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Key Responsibilities: Assist proceduralists side-by-side during complex vascular and neuro-interventional cases, maintaining sterile techniques and infection control Operate floor and ceiling-mounted fluoroscopic imaging equipment and power injection devices for iodinated contrast media Identify, retrieve, and circulate complex products during procedures, demonstrating critical thinking and quick decision-making Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team including nurses, radiologists, and vascular surgeons using clear closed-loop communication Manage groin care post-intervention and document procedures accurately in electronic medical records with images sent to Sectra/PACS system Maintain BLS certification and comply with all healthcare standards and protocols Qualifications: Current NJ state radiographic licensure and ARRT certification required 3-5 years of experience as an Interventional Radiologic Technologist or Cardiovascular Technologist with radiographic licensure Strong knowledge of fluoroscopic modality machines and sterile procedural setup Ability to perform in a fast-paced, high-quality care environment Newark, NJ offers a vibrant urban setting with diverse cultural experiences, excellent dining, and proximity to major metropolitan areas.
