DescriptionThe Quality Improvement Nurse is responsible for leading and implementing quality improvement initiatives within healthcare settings. This position focuses on enhancing patient care quality, improving clinical outcomes, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and standards. The Quality Improvement Nurse will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to assess, develop, and execute strategies that promote evidence-based practices and improve healthcare delivery.Person Reports To - Executive DirectorSupervises - N/AEssential Functions - • Assess and analyze healthcare processes and patient outcomes to identify areas for improvement.• Assess and redesign clinical workflows to improve efficiency, reduce errors, and enhance patient outcomes• Collaborate with client teams to implement process improvements and monitor effectiveness• Conduct training sessions for clinical staff on the usage of systems and tools• Analyze clinical data to identify trends, improve outcomes, and support decision-making• Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes• Develop and implement quality improvement plans and interventions based on data analysis and best practices.• Collaborate with healthcare teams to design and facilitate training and educational programs that enhance staff knowledge and skills in quality improvement methodologies.• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of quality improvement initiatives through data collection, reporting, and analysis.• Support Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) in implementing evidence-based interventions to improve healthcare delivery and patient outcomes.• Serve as a resource for healthcare staff regarding quality improvement processes, data interpretation, and reporting requirements.Additional Functions - • Participate in interdisciplinary meetings to discuss quality and/or process improvement progress and outcomes.• Assist in the development and review of clinical policies and procedures to ensure alignment with quality and/or process improvement goals.• Stay informed about trends and changes in healthcare regulations, quality improvement standards, and best practices.Prerequisite Qualifications -Education/Degree Required Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) required; Healthcare Administration, or Quality Improvement preferred1. Years of Experience RequiredMinimum of 3 years of nursing experience, with a focus on quality improvement or clinical quality assessment.2. Knowledge/Skills Required• Strong understanding of quality improvement principles, methodologies, and healthcare regulations.• Proficient in data analysis and reporting, including the use of electronic health records (EHR) and quality measurement tools.• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.Preferred Qualifications - • Certification in Quality Improvement (CQN) or related field preferred.• Experience working with Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) or community health organizations.• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment.Salary Information-In compliance with the NJ Pay Transparency law, the annual salary range for this position is $100,000-$125,000. NJII considers factors like, but not limited to, job scope, experience, education, skills, internal equity, and market conditions when making offers. This pay range covers base pay only and excludes bonuses or other incentives. Final candidates will be subject to a background screening.
