This reputation is a result of superior quality of our products and our people.Sales Account Manager Specialist- Polymer FilmsThe Sales Specialist - Polymer Films is a commercially driven, technically knowledgeable role responsible for managing customer relationships, executing pricing and order strategies, and driving market growth within the polymer films and chemical product portfolio.This role serves as a critical link between customers, field sales, and internal operations (supply chain, production, and technical service), ensuring seamless execution of sales activities while identifying opportunities to expand business within existing and new accounts.The position blends account management, inside sales execution, technical product support, and market development, requiring both strong commercial acumen and a working knowledge of polymer-based materials and applications.ResponsibilitiesServe as the primary day-to-day contact for assigned customer accounts (small-to-mid size and transactional and select growth accounts) Ensuring consistent engagement and responsiveness.Manage inbound customer inquiries including pricing, product availability, specifications, and lead timesRe-engaging dormant or inactive accounts through targeted outreach.Build and maintain relationships with procurement teams, buyers, and technical stakeholdersEnsure high levels of customer satisfaction through responsiveness and issue resolutionDevelop and execute targeted call lists to engage new and existing customersProspect, qualify, and convert new business opportunitiesIdentify upselling and cross-sell opportunities within existing accountsSupport and attend industry trade shows and customer visits to promote products and expand market presenceMaintain an active sales pipeline and contribute to forecasting activities. Preparing customer- specific data, opportunity tracking, and pre-call planning materials.Following up on meetings, samples, trials, open action items to maintain sales momentum.Prepare and deliver customer quotations aligned with margin targets and market conditionsManage contract pricing, rebates, and spot pricing requestsMonitor market trends, including raw material fluctuations (e.g., resins, additives), to support pricing decisionsUtilize CRM and ERP systems (e.g., Salesforce, SAP) to track quotes, pipeline, and customer activityConvert quotes into sales orders and manage them through fulfillmentCoordinate with supply chain, production planning, and logistics teams to ensure:Inventory availabilityAccurate lead timesOn-time deliveryTroubleshoot and resolve order-related issues such as delays, shortages, or quality concernsEnsure order accuracy and efficient execution across multiple SKUsProvide basic technical guidance on polymer film products, specifications, and applicationsTranslate customer requirements into internal product specifications (e.g., gauge, additives, performance characteristics)Collaborate with Technical Service and R&D teams for complex product inquiries or development needsCommunicate effectively with both commercial and technical stakeholdersQualificationsBachelor's degree in, Marketing, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field preferred2-5+ years of experience in inside sales, technical sales, or account management within the chemical, polymer, or manufacturing industryExperience with polymer films, resins, or related chemical products strongly preferredWorking knowledge of:Polymer films and chemical products (resins, additives, coatings)Industry documentation (TDS, MSDS, regulatory requirements)Ability to understand product specifications and customer application needsTaghleef is a Drug Free Workplace - Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.Taghleef offers a solid track record of growth and expansion in the food packaging industry as well as a competitive benefits package including paid time off, paid holidays, health/prescription, dental and vision insurance, both short and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, additional life insurance amounts available including spouse and dependent child coverage through payroll deductions, flexible spending accounts, company funded heath savings accounts, fitness reimbursement, tuition assistance and 401(k) with a company match.Taghleef Industries is committed to fostering an inclusive workplace.
