The position is full-time with an on-call requirement, and is available immediately. Must be licensed or eligible for licensure in the state of Delaware.*Full Job Description**GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB*The funeral director will be responsible for arrangements, conducting funeral services, embalming, ensuring funeral services run smoothly at all times, and other funeral-related requirements.*ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include* the following:* Conduct arrangement conferences and interact with families throughout the service relationship.* Ensure each funeral ceremony meets the specific requests and requirements of the person who has died, together with their family.* Direct funeral services and visitations.* Serve on-call one full week per month (Monday-Sunday).* Lead a team consisting of removers and administrative staff.* Ensure preparation and presentation of the body entrusted to our care is done in a professional, caring and dignified manner.* Be presentable and wear business attire at all times.* Ensure adherence to company procedures at all times.* Additional compensation is available for technical duties (emblamings, etc.)_Disclaimer from Spicer-Mullikin HR Manual:_“The funeral service profession requires dedication and a belief in providing service above all else.
