This role is ideal for someone passionate about styling and community building who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial retail environment.Our Stylists are sales leaders, brand storytellers, and relationship builders responsible for delivering an elevated and personalized shopping experience while ensuring excellence in daily store operations and merchandising standards. As part of our flagship store team, you will work closely with our corporate partners across marketing, merchandising, and ecommerce to support brand initiatives and drive store success.Responsibilities:Client Experience & Styling:Greet customers as they arrive in the store and style them based on their shopping needsCreate a welcoming, inclusive, and service-driven store environmentAct as a brand storyteller, confidently sharing product knowledge, fit, and styling expertiseProactively style clients for full wardrobe solutions, confidently outfitting across categories and occasionsExecute merchandising strategies to ensure the floor reflects current brand prioritiesDevelop and maintain dedicated Tanya Taylor customers and stylists through outreach, appointments, and follow-up communicationMeet and exceed individual and store sales and KPI goalsBusiness Development and Performance Management:Work cross-functionally with corporate partners to drive and increase sales performance for overall businessIdentify new opportunities to attract and retain clientsPropose and implement action plans to improve results and generate sales for each product categorySupport and host in-store events, styling appointments, and VIP experiencesAssist in daily reporting shared with corporate officeOperations:Assisting manager in day-to-day operationsExecute purchases and returns with accuracy and efficiencyRestock and organize merchandise on the sales floorSupport in inventory and cycle counts to ensure alignment and partnership between front of house and back of houseHelp prevent shrinkage by playing an active role on the sales floorResponsible for back room managementQualifications:Minimum 2 years of previous retail experienceWomenswear and/or luxury experience preferredEstablished client relationships. Upper East side client book a plus.Sales-inclined and goal orientedExcellent social skills: the ability to communicate optimally both verbally and in writing.Has a friendly and professional demeanorPassionate about fashion and stylingAbility to flex between sales floor and operations as business needs.Ability to use POS system and its inventory management functionsAbility to work in a collaborative team environmentAbility to lift boxes/weight up to 30 lbsMust have flexible schedule: some nights, weekends, and holidays as neededMORE ABOUT TANYA TAYLORTanya Taylor is a New York based womenswear brand whose mission is to create clothing that inspires confidence, celebration and community.
