Associate Merchandiser

Our client, an apparel company, is looking for an Associate Merchandiser to joint their team in NYC! ResponsibilitiesSupport the Senior Merchandiser across all stages of the merchandising lifecycle, from concept through executionAssist in the development of retailer presentations and provide support to the sales team during buyer meetingsPartner closely with sales teams and retail buyers to understand needs, feedback, and opportunitiesCollaborate with graphic designers to develop product concepts that align with buyer direction and market trendsWork cross-functionally with design and production teams to create new silhouettes, fabrics, and product innovationsConduct ongoing market and trend analysis to inform product direction and assortment strategyUtilize sales and pricing data to recommend promotional initiatives and drive business growthIdentify top-performing styles and opportunities to maximize sales volume and profitabilityReview samples throughout development and production, providing feedback and approvals to ensure quality and accuracyQualificationsStrong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate across teamsExcellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environmentStrategic thinker with the ability to balance short-term execution and long-term planningSolid understanding of merchandising principles, market trends, and industry best practicesAnalytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into actionable recommendationsCreative problem-solver with a strong eye for product and innovationExperience developing and delivering presentations to buyers, internal teams, and external partnersDemonstrated success supporting merchandising strategies and promotional effortsProficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly ExcelBachelor's degree in a related fieldWillingness to travel as needed for client meetings or market appointmentsExperience working with PLM systems is a plus
