NYIC VISTA, Volunteer Management @ Glasswing International The New York Immigration Coalition (NYIC) VISTA program works to place and support AmeriCorps VISTAs at New York nonprofit organizations, for the purpose of building organizational capacity to provide low-income immigrant communities with diverse anti-poverty services. Member Duties : VISTA PLACEMENT: Glasswing International USA, MISSION: Glasswing International USA's mission is to address the root causes and consequences of violence and poverty through education and health programs that empower youth and communities, and strengthen public systems. VISTA ACTIVITIES: The NYIC VISTA, Volunteer Management, placed at Glasswing International USA, will work on volunteer management projects (e.g., recruitment, training, management, appreciation, evaluation) in support of the organization's work around service/resource provision (e.g., legal, mentorship, after school programs) for immigrant families. SERVICE LOCATION: 85 Broad Street, 17th Fl., New York, NY 10004.
