Position Overview The Social Media Intern will support the Brand Marketing team's owned social media initiatives, with a focus on iconic entertainment IP including Popeye the Sailor Man, Olive Oyl, Flash Gordon, and The Phantom. These brands collectively reach more than 10 million followers across platforms. This is a creative, hands-on opportunity to gain direct experience growing the social presence of globally recognized brands. The intern will report to the Social Media Manager and collaborate closely with cross-functional marketing partners. Key Responsibilities Support and monitor day-to-day social media activity across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and X Schedule and publish approved content across owned social platforms, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and timely delivery Ideate and execute original social content (static, video, and short-form), aligned with brand voice and platform best practices Create and edit assets using tools such as Photoshop, Premiere Pro, Canva, and similar creative software Conduct research on competitive landscapes, social trends, and cultural moments to inform content strategy Analyze performance data and social metrics to identify insights and optimization opportunities Collaborate with cross-functional partners on broader marketing initiatives and campaigns Provide support on additional team projects, gaining exposure to brand strategy, licensing, and entertainment marketing Qualifications Preferred majors: Marketing, Communications, Creative, or Design Intermediate proficiency in relevant tools and platforms Technical Skills: Adobe Illustrator Adobe Premiere Pro Photoshop Canva Instagram Facebook TikTok X (Twitter) Google Docs Microsoft Excel Microsoft PowerPoint Microsoft Word This role is hybrid with 3 days in our NYC office (Tuesday - Thursday).
