Job Description:
Support Job Investigate complaints assigned to Human Resources and produce a written report of findings with reference to supporting evidence. Ensure investigations are prompt, accurate and complete. Core Responsibilities: Conduct timely, thorough, accurate investigations of allegations of employee misconduct. Recommend new or revised procedures, practices, or controls based on the outcomes of completed investigations. Prepare detailed, well written investigative reports documenting facts and circumstances related to reported allegations. Travel throughout the service territory to conduct investigations. Partner with other investigative organizations within the company on matters of mutual interest. Complete relevant investigations courses and incorporate best practices into the process. Participate in case review and strategic planning sessions; offer recommendations on ongoing investigations; assist with case evaluations; and conduct presentations as needed. May perform other related assignments as required. Required Education/Experience: Bachelor's Degree and ten years of relevant investigative experience. Preferred Education/Experience: Juris Doctorate Law Relevant Work Experience: Experience in workplace investigations and interviewing techniques, required. Proficient in MS Suite (e.g. Excel, Word, PowerPoint), required. Excellent written and oral communication skills, required. Ten (10) years of experience as a fulltime workplace complaints investigator or auditor, or ten (10) years of supervisory experience at CECONY or O&R, required. Experience with unionized workforce, collective bargaining agreements, grievance procedure, and binding arbitration, preferred. Experience as supervisor at CECONY or O&R, preferred. Licenses and Certifications: Driver's License Required Physical Demands: Sit or stand to use a keyboard, mouse, and computer for the duration of the workday Stand to use/operate office equipment for the duration of the workday Ability to read small print and symbols Additional Physical Demands: The selected candidate will be assigned a System Emergency Assignment (i.e., an emergency response role) and will be expected to work non-business hours during emergencies, which may include nights, weekends, and holidays. Must be able and willing to travel within Company service territory, as needed.
