About RoleRing Concierge is a rapidly growing, female-founded fine jewelry company specializing in customized engagement rings and fine jewelry. We're seeking a highly organized and detail-driven Product Development Associate to support the end-to-end development of our jewelry collections. This role is ideal for someone early in their product development career who is passionate about jewelry, eager to learn, and excited to work at the intersection of design, sourcing, and operations within a fast-growing DTC brand.You will play a critical role in keeping development on track by managing samples, coordinating with vendors, maintaining product data, and ensuring new styles are launch-ready on time and on cost.ResponsibilitiesProduct Development SupportSupport the product development process from concept through productionMaintain product development calendars, track milestones, and sample status to ensure timelines are metMaintain organized records of styles, revisions, materials, approvals, and delivery timelinesOwn and maintain internal product development tools, including, but not limited to, PD Masterfile, Product Details Decks, and product knowledge filesSampling & Vendor CoordinationCoordinate sample requests, revisions, and approvals with domestic and international vendorsTrack sample shipments, manage intake, organize samples, and prepare them for internal reviewsOwn sample shipping (to/from vendors) and maintain accurate sample logsCommunicate detailed feedback to vendors regarding fit, construction, materials, and finishes of all samplesCosting, Invoicing & Data ManagementAssist with product costing, margin tracking, and vendor quotesTrack sample costs, submit and track sample invoices, partnering closely with the AP team to ensure accuracy and timely processingMaintain accurate and up-to-date product data across all internal systems and toolsMonitor and understand implications of raw material and gold market fluctuationsRaw Materials & SourcingAssist with sourcing and procurement of gemstones, diamonds, findings, and chain to meet design specifications and production timelinesCompile and maintain a library of materials for design reference and future product developmentQuality Assurance & Launch ReadinessSupport QA processes by checking samples for quality, accuracy, and wearabilityFlag issues related to construction, durability, or consistencyAssist with production readiness and pre-launch approvalsSupport packaging coordination and ensure packaging requirements are communicated and executed for new product launchesCross-Functional CollaborationPartner with Merchandising, Marketing, Creative, and Operations to support product launches and ongoing initiativesProvide product details, specs, and sample coordination for photoshoots, marketing, and e-commerceShare regular sample status updates and ensure cross-functional alignment on timelinesHelp prepare internal product education and launch materialsCustomer & Market Insight SupportHelp track customer feedback, returns data, and wear-test insightsAssist in implementing product improvements based on real-world usageSupport competitive and trend analysis to inform product development decisionsAdditional SupportAssist in processing engravable product orders as neededSupport ad hoc product development, operational, and team initiatives as they ariseRequirements3+ years of experience in product development, production, or sourcing within the jewelry industry requiredDTC experience preferredExperience with overseas vendors preferredStrong interest in jewelry design, materials, and craftsmanshipHighly organized with exceptional attention to detailStrong communication skills and comfort working with vendorsProficiency in Excel / Google SheetsAbility to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environmentDetailsFull-time role located in Midtown NYCThis role requires 5 days per week in office Office Hours: 9:00 am to 6:00 pm, with the knowledge that we have a startup culture and your day may extend past listed office hours (with the possibility of weekends during busy season or sales)Health, Vision & Dental Insurance for full-time employees401k with employer match programWe offer generous employee discounts on our fine jewelryPaid time off, including an extra allowance of 3 days annually for religious observancesCompensation for the role will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications, skills, and experience.
