Global Casualty Claims Lead Location: USA New York Work Arrangement: Hybrid 8-12 day per month in-office The salary range for this role is: $156,000-234,000K The purpose of this role is to ensure the precise implementation of the Reinsurance program, optimizing the reinsurance asset through creative approaches, and upholding strong client relationships. Your new role: Known and recognized as the Product expert for all technical Casualty claims issues, providing guidance, support, and resolution of complex cases. Work closely with the Product Underwriters and pricing team to monitor portfolio performance, identifying trends and implementing improvements to enhance claim outcomes and deliver excellent customer service. Ensure reporting and oversight are conducted with a global perspective, integrating claims data and insights from all regions and locations and highlighting areas where data can be improved. Consider use of technology to improve efficiency and productivity including AI and automation opportunities. Have a clear understanding of Product strategy and take the lead in identifying, collating and reporting losses and insights as required for outwards retro. Member of the monthly Global Casualty Committee meetings and regular Casualty Clinics, representing claims and ensuring key issues are discussed, such as large claims, large movements, red flags and volatile losses. Drive knowledge sharing across the claims and product teams to enhance technical expertise and deliver technical excellence. Represent Re Claims in Major Loss Protocol forum, co-ordinating response for Casualty exposures lines in collaboration with Executive Director, Casualty Act as the visible face of Casualty Reinsurance claims both internally and in relevant industry forums Manage a portfolio of claims as the role requires. Preferred Work Experience includes: Significant exposure to managing high risk and/or high value claims. Involvement with relevant industry groups. Management experience with claims management experience. Moderate experience in insurance Legal experience in an insurance setting. Necessary Qualifications include: Tertiary Degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience. The salary offer will be decided based on the role's complexity, its location, and the candidate's professional background, including their education and experience.
