Job Description:
Our client, a leading Insurance organization, is seeking to add a Claims Oversight Consultant - General Liability to their New York City team. This person would be responsible for overseeing, identifying, evaluating, and mitigating commercial liability exposures while partnering with clients, carriers, and internal stakeholders to ensure effective risk management strategies are implemented across a broad range of industries. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in handling or overseeing construction-related general liability claims (premises liability, NY Labor Law, construction defect) and reside within commutable distance to the New York City area.Manage and oversee Commercial General Liability risk management programs for middle market to large commercial accounts.Analyze client operations, exposures, and loss trends to develop proactive risk mitigation strategies.Conduct risk assessments, policy reviews, and coverage analysis to identify gaps and recommend solutions.Collaborate with underwriting, claims, and broker teams to improve account performance and reduce loss frequency/severity.Review and monitor claims activity and provide guidance on complex liability matters.Develop and deliver client presentations, training materials, and safety recommendations.Assist with contract reviews, certificates of insurance, and compliance requirements.Maintain strong relationships with clients, carriers, attorneys, and third party vendors.Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company best practices.Requirements:5+ years of Commercial General Liability claims, risk management, or brokerage experienceWell versed in managing complex NY Labor Law and/or Construction Defect claims.Strong knowledge in coverage analysis and risk transfer principlesExperience working with middle market and/or large commercial accountsExcellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present to clients and executive leadership.Construction and Contractor insurance knowledge highly preferred.Strong analytical, organizational, and negotiation skillsBachelor's Degree preferredProfessional designations such as ARM, CPCU, or CRM are a plusSalary/Benefits:$100,000 - $130,000 annually depending on experienceGrowth opportunity with an established organizationGenerous PTO and paid holidaysProfessional development and advancement opportunities
