With more than 30 licensed and owned brands, including some of the most sought-after names in global fashion, our success is driven by our team's entrepreneurial spirit and our deep relationships across the industry.Position Summary:We are seeking a seasoned Director of HR, Retail to lead HR strategy, employee relations, and compliance across our multi-state retail store fleet. Reporting to the Chief Human Resources Officer, this role is a key advisor to retail field leadership and will ensure consistent, legally sound HR practices that support a high-performance, customer-focused culture. The ideal candidate is a strategic and experienced HR leader with deep expertise in retail operations, employment law, and multi-state compliance.Key Responsibilities:Lead employee relations strategy and oversee complex workplace investigationsEnsure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws across multiple jurisdictionsPartner closely with Legal on risk mitigation, litigation support, and sensitive mattersCoach and advise retail leadership on performance management, policy interpretation, and documentation standardsDeliver compliance and management training to support operational excellence across storesDevelop and implement HR strategies that align with retail business objectivesSupport workforce planning and organizational development initiatives within the retail divisionDrive a culture of accountability, inclusion, and high performance across the store fleetWho You Are:A team player who collaborates easily and supports othersA strategic thinker who sees the big picture and plans aheadA strong communicator who can clearly express ideas and listen activelyA self-starter who takes initiative and drives work forwardA trusted advisor who operates with integrity and sound judgmentA resilient leader who thrives in a fast-paced, multi-unit retail environmentQualifications:Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience)10+ years of progressive HR experience, including significant multi-unit retail experienceStrong expertise in employment law, investigations, and complianceExperience partnering with senior leadership and legal teamsProven ability to influence and operate effectively in a fast-paced retail environmentStrong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)Excellent organizational and time management skillsStrong interpersonal and written/verbal communication skillsWhat We Offer:Competitive salaryComprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k)PTO and company holidaysEmployee discountsThe pay range for this position is: $150,000 - $175,000 per year.Please note that the foregoing compensation information is a good-faith assessment associated with this position only and is provided pursuant to the New York City Salary Transparency Law.G-III Apparel Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
