About the Practice An established private anesthesia group in the Brooklyn, New York City area is seeking an experienced, full-time CRNA. The practice is dedicated to providing high-quality, efficient anesthesia care primarily for Ophthalmology and Gastrointestinal (GI) procedures in a collaborative outpatient setting. The group maintains a supportive structure where CRNAs are supervised by one physician. Opportunity A full-time CRNA job opening is immediately available, focusing on a mix of Ophthalmology and GI cases. Eye blocks are not required for this role. This position offers an exceptional work-life balance with a fixed schedule of five (5) eight-hour shifts per week (5×8) on Monday-Friday , with no call, nights, or weekends . Responsibilities Administer and manage anesthesia for patients undergoing routine Ophthalmology and GI procedures. Conduct thorough pre-anesthesia patient assessments and develop individualized anesthetic plans. Monitor patient vital signs and manage anesthetic delivery, reporting to the supervising physician as required. Provide safe and effective emergence and post-anesthesia care. Maintain accurate and complete patient records. Collaborate effectively with surgeons/physicians, nurses, and other surgical staff. Adhere to all facility policies and quality standards. Qualifications Current unrestricted license as a Registered Nurse (RN) in New York (or eligibility for licensure). Certification as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) by the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA). Experienced CRNAs only are encouraged to apply. Strong clinical skills in managing anesthesia for outpatient cases, particularly GI and Ophthalmology. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills. Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
