CT Technologist Location: New York, NY (Manhattan) Facility Type: Hospital / Clinical Setting Start Date: ASAP, based on interview and offer timeline Length of Assignment: 13 Weeks (with potential for extension) Schedule: Monday through Friday | 10:00 AM - 7:00 PM (Rotating day off; No weekends or holidays) State License Needed: New York State Radiologic Technologist License (with Injection) Pay: Competitive travel rates and applicable stipends are available; specific compensation packages will be customized and discussed during the recruiter interview. $2600-$2800 weekly stipend for travelers, different for local candidates. Job Summary Medix is currently seeking a skilled Clinical Imaging Professional for a travel assignment at one of our partnered facilities. In this role, you will work as a dedicated clinician within the Radiology department, ensuring high-quality diagnostic imaging and patient care. As a Medix contractor, you will have the support of a dedicated staffing team while filling a critical need for our client facility. Responsibilities Operate computed tomography (CT) scanners to produce cross-sectional radiographs of the patient's body for diagnostic purposes. Position and immobilize patients on the examining table using supportive devices to ensure precision and adherence to protocols specified by the Radiologist. Administer contrast media intravenously and assist Physicians or Nurses in intravenous administration as required. Input essential data-including scan type, slice thickness, and scan time-into the computer system to ensure accurate imaging results. Monitor patient safety and comfort throughout the procedure via the intercom system and observation window. Review and evaluate images of organs or tissue on video display screens to ensure technical quality and clarity. Perform daily and weekly Quality Assurance by evaluating radiographs, video tapes, and computer-generated data. Required Skills & Qualifications Certification: ARRT (CT) specialty training certification is required. Licensure: Valid New York State Radiologic Technologist (RT) License with Injection authorization. Life Support: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Preferred Experience At least 1 year of clinical experience in a CT setting is preferred. Benefits Paid Sick Leave: Medix provides paid sick leave according to state and local sick leave ordinances.
