We are seeking experienced General Medicine Providers to support Veterans Evaluation Services (VES), a Maximus company, in delivering vital Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments across New York. In this role, you will conduct interview-based assessments with minimal physical exams, including range of motion and muscle strength testing, primarily in your own office locations in Ithaca and Trumansburg. The position offers flexibility work half-days (4 hours) or full days (8 hours) and provides the chance to participate in ongoing administrative follow-up work such as reports and addendums. No prescribing or treatment is involved, making this an ideal position for clinicians with a background in family or internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, or experience with compensation and pension evaluations. Required Skills Current license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in New YorkExperience in general medicine, family medicine, or internal medicineStrong interviewing skills with the ability to conduct sensitive assessmentsComfortable with physical assessments such as range of motion and muscle strength testingAbility to follow protocols and produce accurate, timely reportsExcellent organizational and communication skillsNice to Have Skills Prior experience with Veterans healthcare evaluations or military-related assessmentsCertification or training in Compensation & Pension examsFamiliarity with medical documentation and reporting softwarePreferred Education and Experience Master's or Doctorate degree in Nursing (MSN or DNP)Minimum of 2 years clinical experience in a primary care or general medicine settingExperience in or understanding of veteran healthcare evaluations is advantageousOther Requirements Own office location with appropriate space for conducting assessmentsLocal candidates preferred; travel expenses are included in ratesAbility to commit to ongoing, scheduled examsWillingness to complete necessary training and certificationThis role offers a highly competitive hourly pay rate of $402.00, with additional bonuses for training completion and performance.
