Well Baby Nursery - Pediatrician

Salary: $190,000-$205,000 We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pediatrician to join our Well-Baby Nursery team.In this role, you will provide comprehensive care to healthy newborns, ensuring a safe transition from birth through discharge.The ideal candidate is skilled in neonatal assessment, family education, and collaborative care within a hospital setting.Key Responsibilities:Perform initial and daily assessments of newborns in the well-baby nurseryMonitor growth, feeding, vital signs, and overall health status of infantsIdentify and manage common neonatal conditions such as jaundice, feeding difficulties, and weight lossProvide guidance and education to parents on newborn care, breastfeeding, safe sleep, and early developmentCollaborate closely with obstetricians, nurses, lactation consultants, and other care team membersCoordinate discharge planning, including follow-up care and referrals as neededRespond to newborn deliveries as required and assess infants immediately post-birthMaintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record systemEnsure adherence to hospital policies, clinical protocols, and quality standards Qualifications:Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degreeBoard certified or board eligible in PediatricsValid state medical licenseStrong clinical and diagnostic skills in neonatal careExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, especially with new parentsAbility to work in a fast-paced hospital environment Preferred Qualifications:Experience working in a well-baby nursery or newborn care settingNeonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certificationInterest or experience in breastfeeding support and newborn educationFamiliarity with electronic medical records systems --- Atlas Search is a tri-state area recruitment agency connecting new graduates, Advanced Practice Providers, Physicians, Social Workers/Mental Health Counselors, Nurse Leaders and more with hospitals, clinics, multi-specialty groups, nursing homes, managed care organizations, private practices, and healthcare start-ups. xijylhu In addition to this role, our team works on similar opportunities with differing compensation ranges depending on years of experience and setting.If you would like to learn more about the many opportunities we offer, please submit your CV for consideration
