Addiction Medicine Physician (Part-Time or Full-Time Available!)

Salary Range: $125/hr- $130/hr (varies depending on years of experience) The Addiction Medicine Physician provides comprehensive medical care to individuals with substance use disorders across the continuum of treatment.This role focuses on assessment, diagnosis, medication management, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary treatment team to support patient recovery, safety, and long-term wellness.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESConduct medical and psychiatric evaluations for individuals with substance use disordersDiagnose and treat substance use disorders and co-occurring medical or psychiatric conditionsPrescribe and manage medications for addiction treatment, including medications for opioid, alcohol, and other substance use disordersOversee detoxification protocols and withdrawal management, as applicableMonitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans based on clinical needCollaborate with counselors, nurses, social workers, and other care team members to ensure coordinated treatmentEducate patients and families on substance use disorders, treatment options, and relapse prevention REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSMedical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) requiredActive, unrestricted medical license in New YorkBoard Certification or Board Eligibility in Addiction Medicine or Addiction Psychiatry (preferred)Experience working in addiction treatment, behavioral health, or integrated care settingsFamiliarity with medication-assisted treatment (MAT) modelsExperience treating co-occurring substance use and mental health disordersComfort working with diverse and underserved populations Atlas Search is a tri-state area recruitment agency connecting new graduates, Advanced Practice Providers, Physicians, Social Workers/Mental Health Counselors, Nurse Leaders and more with hospitals, clinics, multi-specialty groups, nursing homes, managed care organizations, private practices, and healthcare start-ups.In addition to this role, our team works on similar opportunities with differing compensation ranges depending on years of experience and setting. xijylhu If you would like to learn more about the many opportunities we offer, please submit your CV for consideration.
