In this role, you will be responsible for assisting in the daily operation of the Marina and Docks, accommodating all seasonal and transient customers, and assist in the general maintenance of the facility. This role reports to the Marina Manager & Assistant Dockmaster and works closely with other Dockhands and the Marina office. As the Dockhand, you will be expected to:Greet all customers upon arrivalPromote the marina and lease in-water storage slipsMonitor VHF for all communications with the marinaApprove inbound and outbound clearance as boats arrive and departEnsure all customers have an exceptional experience at the marinaMaintain and enforce marina rules to ensure the safety and compliance of all guestsPerform daily inspection of the docks Submit reports of any issues that need to be addressedPerform daily dock walks verifying all empty slips and boats are in the correct slipsVerify all transient boats have arrived / departed according to their reservationsUpon vessel departures, verify all accounts are up to date and paid in full with the DockmasterMaintain a clean property and marina by keeping docks clear and removing any trash when seenTake proactive approach to severe weather prevention; steps to secure and protect docks, vessels, customer and marina personnelEstablish and maintain positive relationships with customers, coworkers, and all departmentsAll other duties as assigned by managementThis is not comprehensive list of responsibilities, which can change at any time at the discretion of your supervisorAbout You:You work well both independently and in a team environment. You are punctual, professional, and able to communicate clearly and effectively with your teammates. You must be comfortable working around boats and on the water.
