We are seeking an enthusiastic, dependable Line Cook for a Chef’s Assistant training track . This role includes structured training toward becoming a tempura cook over time. You will start with zensai (appetizers) and sashimi prep/plating, then progress into tempura ingredient prep and station support as you grow. Strong Plus (Preferred)Familiarity with Japanese cuisine (washoku, sushi, kaiseki, tempura) Fine-dining or upscale kitchen experience (not required) Strong knife skills , cleanliness, and attention to detail ResponsibilitiesSupport mise en place and service execution (prep, plating, station support) Prep + plating support for zensai and sashimi Assist with seafood/vegetable prep for tempura (portioning, station setup) Maintain a safe, sanitary, and organized work environment (labeling, storage, food safety) Communicate clearly with the team and support teammates as needed Open and close duties as assigned Qualifications1+ year restaurant kitchen experience preferred Strong fundamentals in cooking techniques and food preparation Team-oriented, hardworking, and detail-driven Clear verbal and written communication skills To apply: Email your resume to Please include: (1) availability, (2) earliest start date, (3) brief relevant experience (Japanese kitchen experience if any).
