Resident Engineer

Hazen and Sawyer is actively seeking a Resident Engineer capable of handling all aspects of Construction Management delivery for large or multiple projects located in the greater NYC Metro area. Join our Hazen team and make the world a better place providing exceptional client service in all things water® and superior technical solutions for our clients.Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:Quality Review of CM team performance and deliverablesAdherence to contract documents and approved submittalsQuality review of Inspector Daily ReportsQuality of CM AdministrationDocumentation of project risksProcessing of contract invoicesProcessing of shop drawingsProcessing of RFIsProcessing of permitsProcessing of change ordersProcessing of subcontractor approvalsManagement of project documentation tools, i.e. softwareManagement, Coordination and Integration with Operating Staff including Maintenance of Facility OperationManagement of ScheduleTracking of SafetyFacilitating Project CloseoutManagement of CM budget and staffingCollaboration amongst team members; Owner, Engineer, Operators and ContractorsDirect report to Senior Construction ManagementQualifications and Skills:10+ years experienceBachelors Degree in Engineering or Construction Management preferred.Professional Registration preferred.Experience in Water/Wastewater preferred but not requiredProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Project and related PC software packages used on design and construction projectsWe provide a comprehensive benefits package which includes employer paid life insurance, 401k employer contribution (after 1 year of service), performance bonus, comprehensive family medical, dental and vision insurance, paid time off, holidays, short-term and long-term disability, paid parental leave (after 1 year of service), employee assistance and wellness programs.
