Position OverviewWe are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager to support the successful delivery of a ground-up hotel construction project in NYC. We seek talented people who share our passion.This role will work closely with Project Managers, Project Superintendents and field teams to coordinate all phases of construction, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The role works directly with Project Managers in construction management, planning and procurement. The role also supports the Project Superintendent to manage daily field operations, coordinate subcontractors, and ensure the project is built safely, efficiently, and in accordance with plans and specifications.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist in planning, coordination, and execution of construction Support project scheduling, budgeting, and cost control effortsAssist the Superintendent in overseeing all on-site construction activities from mobilization through project completionCoordinate and supervise subcontractors, trades, and daily site operationsTrack deliveries, logistics, and material staging on-siteAssist in resolving field issues, conflicts, and coordination challengesMonitor quality of work to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and company standards.Track project progress and prepare regular status reports. Help maintain and enforce the project schedule, ensuring milestones are metSupport management of RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentationAssist with procurement of materials and subcontractor scopesMaintain daily reports, site logs, and photo documentation of progressSupport project closeout activities, including punch lists and final documentationHelp ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policiesQualificationsBachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred2-5 years of experience in construction project management or field construction supervisionAbility to read and interpret construction drawings and specificationsStrong understanding of construction processes, methods, and materialsProficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, Primavera P6, MS Project)Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skillsAbility to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environmentFamiliarity with local building codes and safety regulationsPreferred SkillsExperience working on commercial construction projects in NYC.
